Women United Raise Funds for ReadingPals
3rd Annual Blingo Bingo Event
United Way of Marion County's Women United held the 3rd annual Blingo Bingo event, presented by Fontana Realty, last Thursday evening at the College of Central Florida. The sold-out event welcomed 300 individuals eager to try their luck for some serious bling during the six rounds of Bingo. The jewelry was donated by Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski Jewelry and the grand prize donated by Ocala Lady Jeweler. All proceeds from this event go towards supporting ReadingPals.
The ReadingPals program is volunteer-based early literacy initiative focused on helping students build the fundamental foundation of early literacy for long-term educational success. In 19 Marion County Public Schools, the program is anticipated to serve over 400 students during the 2019-20 school year.
