Tamika Bailey

Nelson Mandela once was quoted as saying “Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life.”

My name is Tamika. I came to United Way drawn by the opportunity to help Marion County families living in poverty make positive long term changes to improve their quality of life and I get to do that everyday as a Strong Families Initiative Success Coach. How cool is that!  Aside from that, on my spare time I like watching true crime shows and traveling abroad in search of new cultural experiences and good food.
